StoreGazer Solution - Detecting PIN Pad Removal
The 4690 logs a W404/E014/S118 message (terminal device did not respond to message on the serial port adapter) when a PIN pad is disconnected. EDJ took the following steps to configure a PIN pad disconnected email alert in our lab:
[Rule = 1] Source = 118 Action ID = 1To only be notified of W404 (S118) messages, a "Message = W404" line can be added to the event.
[Action = 1] Type = Email Template Name = PinpadEvent
