SSH machine identities are used throughout retailers to control access to systems, including Toshiba 4690 POS and controlling systems. Until now there has been no system to automate and update SSH keys across the 4690 infrastructure. Without the ability to rotate SSH keys, this leaves retailers vulnerable to unauthorized access and breach. With sponsorship from Venafi’s Machine Identity Development Fund, StoreGazer now monitors the 4690 authorized key files. If changes are detected, the file(s) are retrieved and stored in the directory structure. StoreGazer monitors an enterprise directory structure. If changes are detected, StoreGazer will send the modified file to the 4690 controller and notify Venafi via API that the file was installed.
